We had 20 dogs pass the Temperament Test and 18 pass the Canine Good Neighbor test!     The VCKC sponsored the purchase of a new police dog for the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service.  The new team consists of Constable Mike Stratford and Strike.  The VCKC sponsored the purchase of a new police dog for the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service.  The current team consists of Constable Mike Stratford and Strike.  They have been in service since early 2005 and have had many successes in the City of Kawartha Lakes.    Click here for City of Kawartha Lakes K-9 Team Information   "Dorothea Daniel Jenkins Award”  The 2006 recipient of the Dorothea Daniel Jenkins award was Jacqui Sage.  She was honoured for her contributions to the club and her work with the Obedience training.    The presentation was made by Mary Balson.
